About This Course
This course explores three fundamental pillars of Microsoft 365 enterprise administration: security management, compliance management, and device management. In the realm of security management, you will investigate common threat vectors and data breaches that organisations face today, and learn how Microsoft 365’s security solutions counter these threats. You will be introduced to the Microsoft Secure Score and Azure Active Directory Identity Protection. Subsequently, you will master the management of Microsoft 365 security services, including Exchange Online Protection, Advanced Threat Protection, Safe Attachments, and Safe Links. Furthermore, you will explore various reports that monitor your security posture. The course then transitions from security services to threat intelligence, specifically utilising the Security Dashboard and Advanced Threat Analytics to stay ahead of potential breaches. With security components firmly established, you will examine the key aspects of Microsoft 365 compliance management. This begins with an overview of data governance, encompassing data archiving and retention, Information Rights Management, Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension (S/MIME), Office 365 message encryption, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). You will delve deeper into archiving and retention, focusing on in-place records management in SharePoint, archiving and retention in Exchange, and Retention policies in the Security and Compliance Centre. Understanding these core data governance aspects, you will learn how to implement them, including building ethical walls in Exchange Online, creating DLP policies from built-in templates, developing custom DLP policies, protecting documents with DLP policies, and configuring policy tips. The focus then shifts to managing data governance in Microsoft 365, covering retention management in email, troubleshooting failed retention policies and policy tips, and resolving sensitive data issues. You will also learn to implement Azure Information Protection and Windows Information Protection. This section concludes with managing search and investigation capabilities, including searching for content in the Security and Compliance Centre, conducting auditing log investigations, and managing advanced eDiscovery. The course finishes with an in-depth examination of Microsoft 365 device management. You will start by planning various aspects of device management, such as preparing Windows 10 devices for co-management. You will learn how to transition from Configuration Manager to Intune and be introduced to the Microsoft Store for Business and Mobile Application Management. Moving from planning to implementation, you will focus on your Windows 10 deployment strategy, including implementing Windows Autopilot, Windows Analytics, and Mobile Device Management (MDM). Within MDM, you will learn how to deploy it, enroll devices, and manage device compliance.
