Course Outline
Module 1: Overview & Architecture
Explore the Dynamics 365 ecosystem and its key components, outline the architecture of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO), and discuss relevant design and deployment considerations for D365FO.
Module 2: Developer Tools
Utilise Lifecycle Services to manage system implementations, customise D365FO via Visual Studio, manage source code and artifacts through version control, and leverage additional development tools to complete tasks.
Module 3: Solution Design
Identify the necessary application stack components and server architecture, implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and design solutions for D365FO.
Module 4: AOT Elements
Create forms, extend tables, generate Extended Data Types (EDT) and enumerations, and create classes while extending AOT elements.
Module 5: Code Development & Testing
Write X++ code and object-oriented code, extend D365 FO functionality, describe the test framework and associated tools, and conduct unit testing.
Module 6: Data Migration
Review migration tools and methodologies, formulate a migration strategy, and prepare data for migration and execution.
Lab: Data Export/Import using Data Entity
Module 7: Frameworks
Implement D365 FO functionality.
Module 8: Integration
Identify data integration patterns and scenarios, implement data integration concepts and solutions, establish recurring integrations, connect D365FO with Microsoft Azure, troubleshoot integration errors, and implement the Data Management Package API.
Module 9: Reporting
Outline the capabilities and limitations of reporting tools within D365FO, design, create, and refine Dynamics Reports and workspaces, and design, create, and update data sources that link to data stores external to D365FO.
Module 10: Security & Performance
Describe and apply performance tools and LCS Environment Monitoring tools, implement role-based security policies and requirements, apply fundamental performance optimisation techniques, optimise performance for batch processes, user interfaces, integration, and reports.
Lab: Async & Sandbox Functionality
