Course Outline
Module 1: Overview & Architecture
Describe the Dynamics 365 ecosystem and key components of the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (FO) software, outline the D365FO architecture, and discuss relevant design and deployment considerations.
Module 2: Developer Tools
Manage system implementations via Lifecycle Services, customise D365FO using Visual Studio, manage source code and artifacts with version control, and utilise additional development tools to complete tasks.
Module 3: Solution Design
Determine necessary application stack components and server architecture, implement Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and design a solution for D365FO.
Module 4: AOT Elements
Create forms, create and extend tables, establish Extended Data Types (EDT) and enumerations, and build classes while extending existing AOT elements.
Module 5: Code Development & Testing
Develop X++ code, write object-oriented code, extend D365 FO functionality, describe the testing framework and tools, and conduct unit testing.
Module 6: Data Migration
Describe migration tools and methodologies, plan a migration strategy, prepare data for migration, and execute data migration. Lab: Data Export/Import using Data Entity.
Module 7: Frameworks
Implement D365 FO functionality.
Module 8: Integration
Identify data integration patterns and scenarios, implement data integration concepts and solutions, establish recurring integrations, integrate D365FO with Microsoft Azure, troubleshoot integration errors, and implement the Data Management Package API.
Module 9: Reporting
Describe the capabilities and limitations of reporting tools in D365FO, design/create/revise Dynamics Reports, design/create/revise Dynamics workspaces, and design/create/revise data sources connecting to stores external to D365FO.
Module 10: Security & Performance
Describe and implement performance tools and LCS Environment Monitoring tools, enforce role-based security policies and requirements, apply fundamental performance optimisation techniques, optimise performance for batch processes, enhance user interface performance, improve integration performance, and optimise report performance. Lab: Async & Sandbox Functionality.
