  2. Principles of data protection and relevant terminology.
  3. Lawful bases for processing personal data.
  4. Governance and accountability for data protection within organisations.
  5. Interactions between Controllers and Processors, as well as the role of third parties.
  6. Transfers of personal data to third countries or international organisations.
  7. Data Subject Rights.
  8. The role of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and Independent Supervisory Authorities (ISAs).
  9. Breaches, enforcement mechanisms, and liability.
  10. Processing of personal data in relation to children.
  11. Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations (PECR) 2003.

This course is delivered by an expert NobleProg trainer approved by BCS.

The price covers the delivery of the full course syllabus by an approved BCS trainer, as well as the BCS Practitioner Data Protection exam. The exam can be taken remotely at your convenience and is centrally invigilated by BCS. Upon successfully passing the exam (a multiple-choice format requiring a minimum score of 65%), participants will be awarded the accredited BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection.

Requirements

It is advantageous if you already possess the BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection, although this is not a mandatory requirement.

We strongly advise candidates to attend an accredited training course and to be thoroughly familiar with the GDPR, the syllabus content, and any recommended reading specified within the syllabus.
